Suggestions for Winter Op Skirmish Modes

Thats what we did last time Clayton, but some people think that we're playing for 3 days straight 0 breaks and you're always being shot at and can't understand that this isn't a real war. If it was a real war we couldn't have fire or the enemy would spot our base...

Yeah...and with our numbers, if it were real war, I don't know if it would take three days.

Anyways, back to somewhat on topic now, last thing we need is people complaining, if you want to complain DON'T COME otherwise, feel free to join us.

Right now I'm plotting out a setup for the Russian encampment, I'm thinking an officers tent with a table and chairs in it since when I get that vieshmeshok backpack and mess kit, I'll pack some leninade and drink it FROM A SHOT GLASS xD Gotta follow Russian tradition and drink Leninade (its lemonade not alcohol if you haven't caught on yet)

But yeah, some Kerosene lantern things too maybe, I'll also set up a Perimeter, if you're on my team you'll find out what that means, if you aren't... you'll find out soon enough

Yeah clayton its not 3 days of non stop fighting! It'll be structured skirmishes adjusted depending on who wins each round.

billy (ex military) even posted for arcstorm that the most he ever had to work was like a day and a half and also stated that he felt completly drainded after that

Nick, a game is a Skirmish, theres no real other type of game other than skirmish, and by Skirmish Calvin means base capture games (like we tried at arcstorm).

Please, for the love of god, get it through your head, Milsim is NOT charging blindly at the enemy, you need to coordinate attacks, you need to set up defenses and outposts, if you don't like that idea, don't come, we wont miss ya, promise.

your talking about night raids and stuff though as if the game is 24/7

I never said night raids, I said raids, such as COORDINATED ATTACKS on bases, I never said anything about night, the only thing I want to do at night is sit around a table with my comrades and play cards and listen to radio. Last time I checked only a small amount of people tried to rambo it and failed incredibly, not gonna say names.

I personally have no prob with sitting in a stationary position for a VERY long time just to get a good shot. Hmm Calvin, you should consider adding a third team. Not saying you have to but just a concept. If you DO decide to only use two teams that's cool too... But I'm wondering what side to join. Cameron does have leninade.. cmon Calvin convince me there's something better.. I wonder which is better...

On topic please! I know this discussion still has to do with Snowblind, but we aren't discussing the length or format of the games. We're discussing what kind of games it'll be composed of (as in, base capturing, frontlines, CTF). Go to one of the other Snowblind threads to plan the other things. I might have missed some posts, so if this has already been resolved tell me and I'll lock.

How about no more than two people inside the circle? That would prevent the offense from doing a mad spring to knock over the flag. Also, maybe just some colored rope instead of paint? Paint would be messy, and we might have issues if it's on public land. I like the idea though.

paints not really messy... ie a baseball field paintthe lines right before the game i think it may be a special kind though... and i say no1 inside the circle cuz i remember last time we played my cousin was crying and bleeding cuz some1 shot him from a foot away (someone hiding behind the flag)

Yeah there's a minimum range you can shoot from. We don't want a repeat of Arcstorm.

Oh dear god haha, so whats gonna be the deal with bases do you know? are main bases (where camping and stuff is) attackable or not? It'll go like this: when we aren't fighting, there will just be one big communal campsite. When we play, there will be bases for SOME of the game modes.

I like that idea.

But... we were gonna make a Russian officer tent and drink leninade from shot glasses ;_____; hahaha
