Suggestions for Winter Op Skirmish Modes

Hey guys! I just was looking for suggestions on what game types you all want to do at Operation Snowblind. Just bear in mind that this is a WW2 op, so suggest accordingly. Cheers!

Trench warfare... lol no but uh, 2 guns to every man (russian) when the one infront of you gets shot take his gun and start firing lol.

other than that just standard Capture bases style I guess.

I would say have every possible game mode going at once, they would all be seperate objectives.

WW2? this is going to turn out to be some confusing WW2 modern crossbreed game thing. Alot of people only have modern weapons.

I don't think he means a WWII milsim, just battles and scenarios with a WWII theme...as far as airsoft and functionality go, there isn't a whole lot of difference between a PS90 and an MP40.

Exactly. I'm more stressing uniforms and historical aspects more than the weapons.

So...are we required to have WWII-era uniforms? I don't think my stuff is going to cut it.

Uniforms aren't required, but since Cameron Carranza has his complete Russian uniform and I'm buying a complete Afrika Korps uniform, I just thought that anybody who has WW2-type or up-to-1960s stuff should wear it.

sooo why ww2? I know that it wont reallly be too much ww2 but Imean this place sounds awesome for modern style gameplay. Calvin, do you mind posting what the location looks like etc.? SO since its ww2 wat are the teams and objectives.

The teams are Russians versus Germans, and the objectives will be intel, assassination and defense/Last Man Standing rounds. I'm getting some help on the story from my roommate, so it'll be here soon.

Ghost, he can't really give you the location as its a Ranch like last time, and you need permission prior to the game and other times, that portion of the ranch is used by hunters and hikers.

Oh, and Calvin, is Ethan going to be with me on the Russian side?

LOL! Why not just 2 sides Calvin I don't think we'll have enough attending for 3, maybe make a plan incase there are enough, oh, and if Ethan can't make it, I opt Kremer to be my 2nd In Command since he and I can drink Leninade from shot glasses for no apparent reason! haha

I doubt that its not gonna be like Arcstorm since Arcstorm wasn't very good (it was fun but the gameplay lacked) this will be more planning oriented I believe with strikes, raids and bases, not just "Play when you feel like it" ya lazy basta's sitting at your camp (yes you Nick.) making your DARN PURPLE DRANK.

Then don't come, simple as that, its an event for people who are serious about the milsim concept, and being able to sit around a base plotting attacks and being on guard at all times, if you can't stand that, don't bother showing up.

Well, obviously I wasn't at arcstorm, so I can't tell how it went, but three straight days of airsofting can, I believe, get tiring/boring as heck...

This is just my opinion, and I have less experience with multi-day ops than you guys (I'm just speaking theoretical), but I think an effective game plan would be to have certain times for combat, and have more official breaks than just dinner. We should have combat early in the morning, definitely midday, and (moon permitting) some play at night.

I like the weather of morning for being outside and moving, love waking up towards the end of a backpacking trip at 6 AM...combat midday would have people have lunch shifts, I guess, though depending on the weather (yay unpredictable central coast) we should definitely have precautions against heat stroke, and dehydration regardless of weather.

If you want me to analyze or criticize an idea, just let me know, and I will try to give an opinion on both sides.

Milsim would be nice, but for a true milsim, we'd all need WWII gear, getup, and armament...
