S.T.A.L.K.E.R game mode

What like a storyline or basically just like a Manual on the gamemode? Either way, lets see it;p

no they are little things personalized to each faction with different font and little translator things and it pretty cool. it also eludes to what your beliefs are as a member of that group, and what your general mindset and goals should be.

Ah cool, that would help with immersion quite a bit for those who haven't played it.

yes, and also as another part of prep for the game for those who havent played it, i would set up a series of video clips to help them get the idea of what it should be like.

We can use the Call of Pripyat game intro, that helped me understand the game seeing as I had played the previous two in Russian language (I have CS In English now) But I knew exactly what was going on after that, the emissions caught me offguard though seeing as they never happen in Clear Sky.

yeah we need to prep people with videos and storyline so they arent like wow this is dumb.
on a side note, im thinking about ordering a russian copy of call of pripyat just so i can never open it and be like, "yeah, russian game, in russian, pwned." lol

Oh I just downloaded it like a year prior to the English release but it ended up not working for me, I couldn't read the errors because they were in Russian, now I know it was a fsgame error which is easily fixable.

ah...well back on topic...so all we need to move forward with this is for me to finish typing up all the rules and stuff yes?

Yeah and as long as we set up ways to have anomaly fields and artifacts, along with a stable in-game economy we'll be golden!

well i figured i pretty much had that down...but i will post it for review before making it final.

i just need to know all of the topics to cover cause otherwise i will miss osme and have to add it in after the fact or there will be problems on the field and idk if you have read some of my more pissy posts but i really REALLY hate it when there are problems on the field.

Yeah, just complete it and review it all, maybe add the posts I put in and form a manual or something and review it frequently while playing the game to catch any missing info.

yeah that is what i was thinking. once we have everything worked out, the teams will get thier personalized intros and stuff but every team will get the rules manual so they can read it over and go over it whenerver they please. that way no one can say they didnt know what the rules were and again...no problems on the field.

Ooh personalized intros, if only we could hook up a sound system to where we were playing to have some of that awesome ambient music, nothing like hearing a creature howling in the night haha.

yeah well an intercom would be hard to set up, its just getting our hands on one that is hard. not to mention that this game type would be 195,247,125,212,164,124,625,459,432,862,142,185,236,423,412,654,243 times better with buildings of any kind. if it was privatly owned property, i would suggest making buildings out of cinderblocks because they are large, relatively light, very cheap, and easy to build with and move about. but alas the field is public.

..... Time to plan a trip to Chernobyl... nobody really lives there except those crazy people, so lessa airsoft there haha. Wow I'm pissed off at Steam now, I finish all my homework and finally go to launch Fallout New Vegas, guess what? Its update time! 26 minutes left.... ;_____; haha.

yeah well sadly there is no such thing as un owned and or abandoned land in the US. only in places like russia, south america, and so forth. and all those places there is a good chance that you will be killed because you are american....so cinder blocks it is.

Haha or we can get soom wooden planks at home depot and build if we can find land, make little clearings to have fires at night for the gamemode and some little shack-type buildings.. oh Fallout all over haha

dude, cinder block are WAY cheaper and easier to build with. maybe some planks to make windows, but they should be mainly cinder blocks.

How much is it for one cinder block?

We should try this game when we all have our own transport and a REALLY BIG field, and a LOT OF SPARE TIME!

Well I have a lot of spare time and we can get a big field easily most likely.... haha

Might be kinda hard to get them to the field, plus we need cement too. Unless we're just stacking blocks, which is pretty unsafe. But it'd be cool if the circumstances allowed.
