First of all, sorry I've been so ridiculously inconsistent with these things.
Here's some nice optics I found, along with the recommended guns for them:
NC Star 1x25 Compact Red Dot with Weaver Mount
$17.00
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=36_117&products_id=3943
Recommended on SMG's, since it has a low profile. I guess it could be used for assault rifles too, but it would like kinda small on them. This one has great reviews for such a low price.
Airsoft GI 3-9x40 Scope
$27.00
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=36_117&products_id=5287
Recommended for sniper rifles, obviously. It has a nice wide lense so it can be looked through easily, plus it can zoom in and out, which is a nice feature.
Leapers 40mm Red/Green Dot Scope
$35.00
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=36_117&products_id=252
Recommended for assault rifles. This is the one I have (and Kris). The cashier at ASGI said it was one of the best ones for the price, so that's why I went with it. It has adjustable brightness and can be switched between green and red.
NC STAR Panorama Electro Red Dot Sight
$55.00
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=36_117&products_id=1043
Recommended for assault rifles. If you've got the cash, this looks like a good sight. There are 4 different reticule patterns that can be switched with the turn of a knob. Personally, I would have gone for this one if I had the cash.
Leapers 4X32 Mil-Dot Range Estimating Mini
$35.00
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=36_117&products_id=885
Recommended for Designated Marksman Rifles. According to wikipedia, a mil-dot sight is a sight that has markings on the reticule to allow for shot correction. I figured that would be especially useful in airsoft.
That's it for now. This was more for the sake of reviving this section than anything else. But if you're looking for a sight, maybe this helped. Or not.
