Laser Tripped Airsoft Claymore
As the title says, it's an airsoft claymore that is tripped by a laser (or lack of). Here's a video that will inevitably do a much better job at explaining than I could ever:
And the product itself: http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Special_Weapons_Supercell_Development_Supercell_ASC7_Claymore_Mine_with_Wired_Remote_and_Laser_Tripwire_Unit.htm
For those who didn't watch the video all the way through, the claymore actually looks like quite a pain to set up. It requires a separate laser to be set up and shining into the laser receptor (?). Since the receptor is slightly raised off the ground, you'll likely need to build some kind of adjustable mount to get the laser to aim just right at the receptor. Regardless of whether you have a mount like that or not, the entire process would be a pain in the field. You can forget about pulling out a claymore, stabbing it into the ground then sitting in a bunker like the camper you know you are. At least with this claymore.
Anyway, that claymore's badass...but I heard that an English company is making airsoft Bouncing Betties, you know, the little jumping bastards the Germans came up with in WW2. THAT would be sweet!
that would be extremly difficult to make... how about we start with perfect guns that dont jam but can shoot across a football field with power left over
It wouldn't be that difficult to make. You can make a spring release with a nail and string at home. I'm sure an airsoft company with the resources can make one pretty easily. And even if they can't do it mechanically, electronics (laser tripped bouncing betty?) and a small motor can release the spring and activate the mine.
No it wouldn't nick lol, for a mortar shell you just need a pressure sensor on the tip of it and make sure the tip is weighted down so it lands on it, oh, and don't aim for people haha

I'm talking about a mortar shell haha, I wasn't talking to you about it but I might make a Cannon type thing with cranks to turn it and launch shells out of it at our field XD who wants to drive it?! aha
The Bouncing Betty acutally uses an air charge to send the packet up, which would then explode at head-height. Look it up in any manual...just don't look at Russian Type 77 Anti-Personnel mines, those actually ARE totally explosive.
