This is just a game that Kris and I made for the coming up war.

I'll be using a 10 person game as an example.

Basics:
There is an attacking team and a defending team. The game plays out similar to fortress, except the defending team has fallback points. There are 3 posistions that the attackers have to take, each one getting progressively harder. For example, the first posistion will be the worst defensive posistion, and with only 3 defenders against the 5 attackers. The next posistion will be slightly more defendable, and have 4 people defending against 5 attackers. The final posistion is the best defensive posistion, with all 5 defenders against all 5 attackers. The time it took to defeat all defenders in each posistion is added up for the total conquering time. Both teams get a chance at defense and offense, the team with the shortest time wins.

Rules:
-Defenders can take 2 hits, attackers can take 1 hit
-defenders cannot leave their designated defensive posistion
-attackers respawn from a distant respawn point an infinite number of times, defenders do not respawn.

I thought this was gonna be the sniper game in scoutthedoggie (sp?) video
Where the attackers go at the snipers, and the snipers fallback a couple feet when they got shot, till they get to the end or they eliminate the attackers.

ok well...i thought of a similar gametype but mine was based off of the game "Frontlines: Fuel of War"

so i say we call it Frontlines.
anyways my idea is different though, (using your 10 person idea)
its 5v5 all way thru- everyone has 1 life per frontline. theres the attackers and the defenders. at the 1st place is by the firepit or w/e and u can get hit twice and your out (applies to both D's and A's) for the duration of that battle for the base.

Once that base has been destroyed by a supposed "Time Bomb", everyone respawns and move to the next Frontline. and the Defenders can move anywhere within a certian vicinity of the target, while attackers can go anywhere. its that simple.

Attack Defend
Destroy Protect
Respawn Resapwn
Move on Fight Harder!

ill make a map for both teams and bring it on Sat. for looks.


The bases are as follows:
1:Firepit (Near the entrance/big tires.)
2:Tree Fort (That small base in the forest)
3:House (Around it not in it)

yeah, and for either one, the house could be a defensive postition, since you can see attacks from almost all sides, due to lack of cover.

Yup. And Gottfried, I haven't seen that vid, but it sounds fun...we need mroe snipers though...
